Everyone will learn how to tool onto Ten Seconds new Cattle-ist Embossable Leather, learn the binding stitch for creating your book and create the most "KickAss" front cover you have ever seen. This book uses real antique objects (not crap from China) that are all one of a kind. I have searched far and wide for these unique components and you will have a blast learning how to create your own journal. All supplies are provided in the class. Please bring a ruler and box cutter. **An added bonus, everyone will create their own mini not pad with leather. Cost is $95/student and we will have extra book kits for sale. There is limited space so please contact asap for your registration.
That's right, we have an online class set to start on Feb 15th and you can have us in your home and you don't have to clean or get dressed. Megan and I have created a leather book project that is so cool you will be making these for all your friends. This video shows how to emboss on our new leather line. You get a special price if you sign up before Feb 15th. Don't worry you can still see the video after you get your supplies and the video will be available until the end of time. The book kit is a limited supply, so if you want to make that book get your order in. Remember you will have us all to yourselves! Order now!
(when ordering, click on Cattle-ist Leather and the link will come up.)
Who wouldn't want to wake up every morning to greet a sunrise like this? Of course, you have to get up pretty early to see the sunrise or stay in bed all day long.

It's hard to believe it's already the 20th of January. It seems like I just put all my Christmas stuff away and this month is almost over. We have some exciting news on the book front. Our friend, Suzanne McNeill, wrote "Rust and Patina" using our VerDay Paints and Patina.
This book is full of all sorts of projects that we have created along with Suzanne and some guest artists. Everything you have ever wanted to know about VerDay Paints and Patina is explained in this book.
If you would like your very own copy, check it out here, and I will also sign it.
We are constantly coming up with new ideas and projects for our VerDay line and wait till you see some of the ideas coming soon for online classes. We're going to blow your minds!
I am giving myself a hand today for getting back into blogging. I have been totally remiss and shirking my duties of keeping up with the blog.
I blame "life." It's that ticking clock that just makes the days go by too fast and before you know it well, it's December.
Since my dad passed away in June I think I've just been on auto-pilot going through life. So, I'm turning over a new leaf and getting back into the groove.
We've got some new things coming up in 2014, I've been busy making samples for new video classes and I'm really excited about what we will be teaching next year, a new book coming out and we will be showcasing all these things right after the holiday.
I know a lot of people are on Facebook and follow us there and we tend to keep that updated and you can always check out our YouTube channel for our latest videos.
If you need more paints, tools, metal (yes,we still sell all those tools and metal) and VerDay Cloth just check out our store for the latest in stock items.
I think everyone should give themselves a hand for getting through 2013 and hopefully you will have a stressfree holiday.
Where does the time go, it seemed like I just posted and the last post was in April! I've found it's easier and faster to just post updates on facebook but I forget not everyone is on facebook.
We have been doing a lot of cool projects with our VerDay Paints (Reactive Paints), that's the new buzz word REACTIVE PAINTS. That essentially means "it reacts" after the patina has been sprayed on it.
Here I have a canvas messenger bag that I bought. It's a beige color and would be cute with a multitude of techniques applied to it.
I instantly thought our VerDay Paints and even decided I would use our "money water" in this project.
I ended up applying a lot of the "money water" to the bag because water soaks into canvas...really fast!
I tried to take my brush down to the bottom of the container where the sludge is and use a lot of that. My "money water" has a lot of iron in it, so when I sprayed on the VerDay Patina the reactive paint changed to iron more than any other color. That's the beauty of reactive paints, you have no control over what will happen.
This tends to drive "control freaks" NUTS.
But, I find it's so cool to come in the next day and be surprised at what your creation has turned into.
Now for those of you who are wondering where did this "money water" come from, we talk about this extensively on our online class. You can learn all about these various techniques used in our VerDay online class and we also did a Metal online class. Hope you check them out and each one has it's own private FaceBook page for students.
This weekend August 23-25 we are a vendor at Bead Fest in Philadelphia. We are teaching a class on Friday morning that is way cool and I hope we see a lot of our friends from the east coast.
I'm going to try and post more often on the blog as we end out the summer and welcome fall. I can't wait for cooler weather and maybe some rain.
We just got back from BeadFest in Valley Forge, PA. It was a beautiful weekend and was great fun meeting up with friends and meeting new friends. We got to exhibit at the BeadFest Show and had a table, this summer we're going back and will have a booth. I have alot of passions and one is beads, wire, chain and jewelry. Can't wait to get my goodies out and play with them.
(I just spent 30 minutes trying to upload pics and for some reason I can't get any pics to load onto this post. I am going to scream!)
I want to thank everyone who sent well wishes for my Dad who is in rehab. He is doing ok, but won't eat or listen to anyone and just wants to escape from the place. I am hoping my mom and I can make it through this period and not totally loose what little sanity we both have left. This period of life seriously sucks.
