Jeanette was kind enough to send me the directions for speed and pressure using the Cricut: Put speed on high, pressure on medium and blade on 6. Use a very sticky mat and do not remove the metal with a spatula it will scratch it. Bend the mat and carefully remove the metal.
Here you can see how she created her Mickey page.
When she showed me her pages I was blown away by how much she had cut on the machine with our metal and it looked great.
I hope everyone keeps me posted on their experiments and post them on the yahoo group because all those gals have a Cricut!
Woo Hoo! Way to go Jeanette! Only using metal for a year and only scrapbooking for a couple of years. I am so jealous. You are amazing and I love Mickey! Can't wait to try metal on my cricut! OUTSTANDING! FANTASTIC! WONDERFUL! AWESOME!

Jeannette said she used the 10 Second Studio Humungo Adhesive after she cut the metal out. Has she tried cutting the metal with the adhesive on it? Some of the Mickey pieces can be quite small.
Awesome idea! Hadn't thought about using my Cricut and the metal together but hey it makes a lot of sense to me!
Thanks again for your Fab videos & ideas!!!

In answer to Sharon's question {can you use the killer tape on the back of the icons] no you can't. It adds more thickness to the metal so it throws off all the dimesions of the metal. The whole thing about the small pieces of Micky is that you can cut it that small. I hope this helps you out.

I am so happy I still have my Cricut plugged in our on the kitchen counter - I am off to try some metal cutting right now. Thanks, Jeanette, for the settings tips! I just hope that my mat is sticky enough - I've only used it a couple of times so we shall see!

Luv Luv Luv what you have done Jeanette and thank you cheryl for sharing it with all of us! Way to go. I am sitting here right now looking for the perfect first image to cut with my cricut. I am making a journal cover and the idea that I can use the cricut to help is great! (I need to I have cartridges but havent cut much to justify my investment) :)
Keep up the Creativity!
