Megan has been on a roll doing videos while I was gone and she's done another one showing how easy it is to use what you probably already own...embossing folders and combine with our Brass metal and Verday.
I know you're gonna wanna go nuts over the Brass Metal. Now this is a touch thicker than the copper at 36gauge. But as you can see it still embosses beautifully. Brass is also cool after you've used our brass brush for a tone on tone look.
Here you can see the brass on the right and two different copper pieces on top.
The difference in the range on this patina is amazing, but remember to not go to nuts at the beginning. You can get the same cool effects by using a small amount of the VerDay and then layering more on top for a deeper look.
I'm back at work now and want to thank everyone who sent emails and cards. For those of you who are thinking..."what is she talking about?" I had stomach surgery last week and am now home and on the mend. Of course I can't eat what I want to eat. Right now I would kill for mac 'n cheese! I just want to stick my face in it and scarf it like a pig...and those days are over forever. I've got 5 weeks of drinking bland stuff (unfortunately vodka isn't on the liquid list) and then eating little snacks every three hours. I like to think it will be the Tapa's Diet. If I could just cook that way.
Marilyn Mae Thurber from Maine sent me the card on the right and the flower was made out of chipboard and VerDay. Beautiful Job!
Karen Wells made the card on the left out of metal and cardstock. She also put the metal on the flower pot.
This is a flower that when you press a button it opens and there's a saying in the center. She and I are so easily impressed by moveable objects....it made me smile!
I hope this has made you smile and thanks again for all your well wishes and thanks to Megan for constantly doing everything needed as a daughter.
