We've been doing these videos for over two years now and I'm totally amazed at some of the topics we come up with. Today's TTV is no exception. We turn something that is rather drab and make it fabulous.
So, I decided to take the award and altered it to the fab level...favorite hubby doesn't know I did this...and I love how it turned out.
This is what I put on the other side of the glass. This was a piece I did several years ago in a class. The "K" is done on watercolor paper with guache (ink) and then I added color with color pencils. For the frame around the letter I used our Kabuka #10 mold and I used bits and pieces instead of the entire piece.
I love this style of calligraphy and could do it all day. This is the same style I did on an earlier piece for Megan.
Anytime I take a class I tend to make lots of letters and words and do them all up at one time and then rework them later which is a big time saver.
For those of you who are getting ready to ask where the frame came from...you can quit salivating because I have no idea. I wish I could find them because I could go nuts with these, but they probably cost a fortune.
Post a comment on today's posting and I'll pick a winner on Friday for your own letter. Obviously, I can't give Ken's away so I'll do a different letter for the winner in metal and I'll even put it in a frame. Hey, that's worth a lot of comments. I hope you get lots of ideas from this video and remember...eat tacos and then play with metal!
