My favorite saying is "it will happen when Hell freezes" well, on Thursday Hell froze. We got a whopping 12" of snow. People that's TWELVE INCHES of snow. No one in the state of TEXAS knows what to do in 12" of snow. We are a state of snow idiots. We either drive like it's any other day and it's our constituional right to go 90 on the freeway or we huddle in our houses until it all goes away and then come out like bears after a long sleep.
This is our backyard at the warehouse. Luckily the dogs didn't come down today or this entire yard would be one huge slushy mud pit. Mocha, our sissy lab mix, for some reason loves snow and hates water. She went out yesterday and layed in it like it was a blanket and she had her own large snowcone.
We ventured out today so that we could do videos and Megan couldn't even get out of her driveway.
I know this isn't as bad as what the east coast got, but to us it's just as bad.
Geoff came with me and we did a quick video for this Tuesday and then we'll have to do more videos next week to get caught up. If you've been calling the studio for the last two days that's why no one is answering your calls. I'm going home to hybernate and drink hot toddies. Hopefully, Hell will defrost!

You got more snow than the Chicagoland area did. I will have to call my brother in Dallas to rub it in! He is always bragging about how warm it is there. Sorry about the snow. No fun when you don't have the equipment to remove it.

The Weather People called for "blizzard Like Snow" Last week for my part of CT. Schools were closed the night before this big snow and we had a whopping 2" of snow the following day in the late afternoon. I guess it got stalled near Dallas! Hope you enjoyed it while it lasted! Are we really having global warming? Snow in Dallas and South Carolina, blizzard in Washington DC??
Can't wait to see videos with your new metals and molds! Sue

We have about 2 feet of snow on the ground since the first week of December, then had a Christmas blizzard of 2009. Now we get a couple of inches of snow every couple of days. YUCK! Got Snow! LOL. I can't wait to see you and Geoff new video.

I imagine, how suprised are you with this amount of snow. I came from Europe, small country - Slovenia where we are used a lot of snow every winter. But also, when it snows we are all suprised!!! Kids are extremely happy because they can snowball, sledge, ski, do creation from snow (snowman, castle,..)or perhaps, somebody have with it excuse not to go to school:) But adults (like me) are not so happy. We must have winter pneumatic on the car, drive very carefully and we must wake up hour or two early in the morning to shovel the car...
I adore your works and videos! I never use metal, but now,i'm starting, and you and Megan are my inspiration...

Ironic that this month the places in North America that are really prepared for snow, didn't get any - and the US got a dumping. We've got snowblowers and we keep shovels and scrapers in our cars; all we got was a bit of a chill in the last week (that's a Canadian Chill; wind child down to -27 C one morning), but very little snow. I feel for you all with your snowmaggedon. Just remember to clean it off your cars totally before you go out - accidents can occur when a car "blows its snow coat" on the highway!
Drive safe!
